Clean and simple floral card ideas – Painted Lavender Bundle

Hello

Today, I’m sharing a couple of clean and simple floral card ideas made with the gorgeous Painted Lavender Bundle, part of the Perennial Lavender Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! (162613). This collection has been really popular and I can’t stop creating with it. Click here to see other samples that I recently shared.

This was actually one of my February card class projects. I love clean and simple cards and think white on white looks so elegant. The textured background was made with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder (154317) from our Annual catalogue. The lavender is stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink and I paired this with Pretty Peacock for the stems and die cut leaves.

Techniques used for these cards

There are two simple techniques used on these cards – stamping off and thumping. Stamping off is when the stamp is inked up and stamped off on a piece of scrap paper before being stamped a second time on a piece of card. This makes the stamped image lighter. So for this card the larger of the tall floral stamp was stamped off and then the thin flowers were stamped in full strength over the top. Thumping was used on my second card where I used different stamps from the stamp set. The stamp was first inked up with Highland Heather and then I used a Berry Burst marker to add a different colour onto the stamp. Click on the photo below to see the video where you can see me demonstrate (badly) this technique.

Side by side

I love both of these clean and simple cards but think I prefer the first one because it looks like a bunch of flowers and has more depth. Let me know if you have a favourite in the comments.

If you would like to buy any of the products I’ve talked about you can either click on the links in the post or on the photo’s below to go to that item in my Stampin’ Up! online shop. And, of course, if you would like more information about shopping with me click this link.

That’s all from me today, as always, thanks for stopping by and remember to keep it crafty.
