Learn how to make a cute Rocker Card

Hello

I know it’s been a while but today I’m back to show you how easy it is to make a cute rocker card using the Deckled Circles Dies (162286) by Stampin’ Up! The birthday card below was one of three projects we made in my February classes and I shared the tutorial on my YouTube channel last week but forgot to write a blog post. (I guess I’m out of practice!) It seems this type of card is really popular at the moment because I have seen other examples all over social media.

Sale-a-bration

As well as using the Deckled Circles dies (162286) to make this cute rocker card, I fussy cut the gorgeous birds and flowers from one of my favourite Sale-A-Bration (SAB) products the Flight & Airy 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (162977). Spend £45 or more with me before 29 February 2024 to get this exclusive SAB item for FREE! Obviously you can get in touch if you would like to know more about this offer.

Sentiments

The sentiment on my first rocker card is from the Garden Meadow Photopolymer Stamp Set (162736) and on the other card below, that you can watch me make by clicking the photo below or the YouTube video later in this post, the sentiment is from the Country Bouquet Photopolymer Stamp set (160377). Those birds are just so pretty aren’t they?

Let’s make a cute rocker card

For the base, I first die cut a Thick Basic White circle using the largest of the Deckled Circles dies and then scored it in half. In fact you can get two bases from one piece of A4.

The paper for the next layer is also from the Flight & Airy DSP and this time I used the third largest Deckled Circles die, scored the paper it in half and glued it in place. However, I realised that if I cut the paper in half it could be used for two cards.

Next I die cut a Daffodil Yellow circle and in order to add a bit of texture embossed it with one of the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders (157980). At this time, these EFs have been added to the SAB items you can earn for FREE with a qualifying order. Click here to see another card that I made using the Deckled Circles dies.

Finishing Touches

Sadly the ribbon I used is retired but you could try the Silver & White 1/2″ sheer ribbon (162149). In the video you can see how I made a faux bow and then secured it with Orchid Oasis twine from the 2022-2924 In Color Baker’s Twine Pack (159195). I didn’t give it to my husband for Valentines’ in the end but gave it to my parents instead, as I “Just wanted to say …. I love you”.

If you would like to buy any of the products I’ve talked about you can either click on the links in the post or the photo’s below to go to that item in my Stampin’ Up! online shop. An of course If you would like more information about shopping with me click this link.

That’s all from me today, as always, thanks for stopping by and obviously remember to keep it crafty.
