How to make a simple easel sympathy card

Happy Sunday!

Today I show you how to make a simple easel sympathy card using Stampin’ Up! products. The bundles used to create this card are Perched in A Tree from the Jul – Dec 2022 mini catalogue and Fancy Something from the January – April 2023 mini catalogue. I’m so happy that the Perched in A Tree stamp set and Aspen Tree dies carried over and are still available. The background (behind the Robin and die cut trees) is a piece of the gorgeous New Horizons 6″ x 6″ designer series paper.

The New Horizons dsp might possibly be the most beautiful patterned paper you’ll ever buy. The horizon scenes were handpainted and the tranquil watercolour imagery looks great as a background on a card front or on a scrapbook page. It’s versatile, too. Turn the paper upside down to change water to sky or whatever you can imagine. It is currently in the clearance rack in the UK. Click here to add it to your basket in my online store.

In the example above the foliage and leaves are die cut using two of the Aspen Tree dies from another piece of the dsp. The green panel on the base is the stopper for the easel part of the card and is raised on dimensionals. It was made by stamping Old Olive on Basic White with one of the background stamps in the Perched on a Tree stamp set. The sentiment from Something Fancy stamp set is stamped on a label from the co-ordinating die set.
