Fun Fold Christmas card

How to make Front Step Fold Christmas cards

Happy Sunday!

Today I want to show you how to make Front Step Fold Christmas cards. At least that’s what I think they’re called! Not only did I use the Celebrate with Tags Bundle but also some of the Snowflake 12″ x 12″ Specialty Vellum from the July – Dec 2022 mini Stampin’ Up! catalogue.

Christmas cards we made in class

This Christmas card was one of the projects in my November classes because I enjoy teaching fun fold cards. I only came across this style of card before after receiving a lovely card from Heather Thomas, The Songbird Stamper in a team swap at the beginning of the month, as can be seen in my video tutorial here.

Name that fun fold style

So should you know what this style of fun fold card is called please leave me a comment below and put me out of my misery. Obviously if you look at it from the side you’ll see why I’ve called it a Front Step Fold.

There’s plenty of room on the back panel to write a message to the recipient and to go with the snowflake theme, I chose to use one of my retired stamp sets called Snowman Season as I think the little snowmen in the set are really cute and I didn’t get a chance to use them on many Christmas cards last year. The cards we made in class were balmy blue and night of navy but I decided to use gorgeous grape instead when I made a tutorial for my YouTube channle. If you click the photo below you can watch it or you can find the video later in this post.

I’ve been meaning to use the Snowflakes 12″ x 12″ Specialty Vellum for a while and thought it would make the perfect background on these Christmas cards. Altogether in this pack you get six sheets of vellum, two of each design, one flocked and the other foiled.

I had an absolutely brilliant time in Vienna last week with some of my team and more than 700 other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from across the world. We got to celebrate together for the first time in person since the pandemic. And I was so happy to have the chance to briefly meet Shelli Gardner and her daughter Sara – here we are having a team photo.

That’s it for me today, as always thanks for stopping by and remember to keep it crafty.
