How to make clean and simple cards

Happy Sunday!

Today I want to show you how easy it is to make clean and simple cards using stamps, ink and a punch. The card below is a prime example and was one of the projects in my March card classes. The colours for the first couple of cards are Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and Parakeet Party. Aren’t they bright and beautiful?

The Petal Park stamp set is part of the Regency Park Suite, which is on page 32 of the January – April 2023 Mini Catalogue and can be purchased, at the moment, as a bundle with the Petal Park Builder Punch. All the sentiments used are from the Something Fancy stamp set, which is on page 17 of the same catalogue and co-ordinate with the Somthing Fancy dies. When you buy these as bundles you get a 10% saving.

#SimpleStamping or Clean and Simple cards

A few years ago Stampin’ Up! started a #SimpleStamping campaign to encourages us to share the joy of papercrafting. The aim is to create and share easy-to-make, inexpensive projects, to show beginner crafters how fun and easy paper crafting can be. As an experienced crafter who loves to make fancy fold cards it is good for me to go back to basics, especially when life gets a bit overwhelming! Although these cards don’t fit this month’s theme I will be sharing more #SimpleStamping cards.

Parakeet Party is one of the 2022–2024 In Colors so will be around for another year but Pale Papaya and Polished Pink will be retiring at the end of this month. So if you like these colours pop over to my online store to buy them while you still can. I made a portrait version using the same colours. This time I made a birthday card using another sentiment from Something Fancy stamp set and another Something Fancy die.

For my next clean and simple cards I started thinking about other colour combinations and decided to stay with our In Colors. So I chose Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent, both due to retire, and Orchid Oasis, another 2022-2024 In Color. I’m so happy Fresh Freesia is staying as part of the colour refresh. I’ll try and share more about that later in the week. This time I made a belated birthday card. Honestly the sentiments and dies in the Something Fancy bundle are a must have.
