How to make quick and simple birthday cards

Happy Sunday!

Today I want to show you how to make some quick and simple birthday cards using the Cup of Tea Bundle from the annual catalogue. These cards were one of the projects we made at my August monthly card classes this week and my ladies all loved them. We used one of the Sale-a-bration products that you can chose for FREE with a qualifying order until the end of August 2022. I could have used a sentiment from the Cup of Tea stamp set but as always wanted to add to my stash of birthday cards so used a sentiment from Peaceful Moments.

What is Sale-a-bration?

For every £45 and £90 you spend in my on-line store, you can earn an exclusive Sale-A-Bration item for FREE! Depending on the amount you spend, you’ll be able to mix and match the Sale-A-Bration items you earn. There are stamp sets, dies, designer series paper and these Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes for you to choose from. The current promotion runs until 31 August 2022 but we have two of these promotions each year.

Embossing Velum

Did you know you can emboss vellum using any embossing folder? You simply put vellum inside the embossing folder and run it through your die cut & emboss machine like any other cardstock. It is a great technique for adding a subtle layer to a card but you do need to be a little careful that the vellum doesn’t crack.

For these birthday cards, I used the Stripes & Splatters 3D embossing folders. The splatters on the Pool Party card and the Stripes on the Soft Sea Foam one. There are 20 card bases and envelopes in the pack, 10 of each colour and the designs are really lovely.
