Happy Sunday – today I’m sharing a couple of cards made with the gorgeous Pretty Perennials stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
I made this first card a few weeks ago for a friend – I guess I should actually send it now as she has been in her new home for a while now!!
This stamp set is so pretty. I started with a base of Thick Basic White measuring 14.8cm x 21cm and scored at 10.5cm. The first layer is an embossed piece of Basic White measuring 10.2 x 14.5cm. I used the Ornate Florals 3D embossing folder ehich is a favourite and glued that to the base. Next I die cut a label (love this die) using Nature’s Thoughts dies from another piece of Basic White. I stamped the flowers in Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and So Saffron and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz on another piece of Basic White and fussy cut them. In all I used most of an a4 sheet. I stamped a few flowers in Balmy Blue directly on the label and layered the flowers before adding with glue or dimensionals. I wanted to add a bit of sparkle so sprayed the whole panel with some of my homemade Shimmer Spray. (I’ve got a video on my YouTube channel showing you how easy it is to make it.) The sentiment is from a retired stamp set and was stamped in Memento, fussy cut and added to the panel with dimensionals. I layered the label on to a piece of Highland Heather measuring 7.5cm x 11.5cm and added that to the card base with dimensionals.
If you follow me on social media you will know that the slimline Whale Done card that I shared last Sunday for the Global Design Challenge was picked as one of the winners. It was such a lovely surprise and I’m so grateful it was picked as there were so many gorgeous projects.
I wanted to make a second version of my card, this time using the new 2021-2023 In Colors as they arrived in the week and I’ve not had a chance to play with them.
