Happy New Year – 2021 may have been another difficult year for many but there were lots of happy moments too and I’m going to remember them rather than the darker days!! Let’s make 2022 a good year full of crafting, fun and laughter.
Did you have a wonderful Christmas? We spent precious time with parents. I hope you got to spend time with your loved ones and are well. I haven’t shared a lot of the special cards and gifts that I made this year – I didn’t want to spoil the surprise.
Today I’m sharing some 2022 desk calendars created with a favourite stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue – Days to Remember.
This was my first try and I love the colours – I am a purple girl after all LOL! However it tips over too easily as the little box on the front isn’t really big enough to hold the twelve cards for each month. So decided to go back to the drawing board and design something a little different.
For my next attempt, the colour combination was inspired by some cute designer series paper called Sunshine & Rainbows that you can earn for free during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order.
For this calendar the stand is taller. I made a different shaped box to hold the calendar pieces and added a month to each side of the larger white squares.
I used some of our current stencils to add a background to the larger squares with blending brushes. If you want to know what I used leave a comment below and I’ll share more info in a separate post with more photos.
I tweaked the dimensions again to make my final example and you can watch me make the next calendar in a two part series over on my YouTube Channel.

This calendar has a sneak peek of products from the January to June 2022 mini catalogue called Heart and Home Suite – available from 4 January 2022.
I made the stand a little wider and the designer series paper is far too cute to cover up so I added the year to vellum. The cute bees are made with the Honeybee Home bundle, also from the January to June 2022 mini catalogue.

Best DIY calendars ever! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! You have made my day!
Lovely calendars! Could you tell me if, for the Rainbow DSP calendar, are the dimensions and sizes the same as the one in your video? Is the box holder in front the same as well?
Thank you so much. The easel stand for the Rainbow DSP calendar is slightly different (10.5cm x 29.7cm) scored at 14.85cm) but the box on the front is exactly the same. Hope that makes sense!
