Today I’m playing along with the Global Design Project again. This week it’s a Case The Designer Challenge #GDP328 and we are CASEing the talented GDP Design Team member Janneke De Jong from the Netherlands. This is my entry and I knew I wanted to create a card using Nature’s Harvest and the co-ordinating Harvest dies from the Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue
You can see the gorgeous card Janneke created below and I love the layout and colours she used. You can see lots of amazing inspiration from the design team on the Global Design Project blog.
I started with a crumb cake card base – the finished card is 5″ x 7″. I cut two panels measuring 4½” x 6½” – one with rich razzleberry and the other shimmery white card. I added a wash to the latter with the largest water painter and some highland heather ink and added both to the base.
I stamped the flowers on basic white and coloured with Stampin’ Blends before die cutting the image using one of the Harvest dies. I also used another die to cut two flowers and coloured them with Stampin’ Blends.
I added the flowers with glue and dimensionals to the front of the panel. The sentiment from Nature’s Harvest was heat embossed in white on another piece of rich razzleberry and cut with a label from the dies. I added the label over a double bow made with twine with dimensionals.
