I am excited to share that I am part of the amazingly talented Stamping Cove Design Team. To say I’m chuffed is an understatement!! Every month we have a theme, colour or sketch challenge and projects created by the design team are shared on The Stamping Cove Facebook group, which is run by Emma (Coastal Crafter) to hopefully inspire other members of the group.
For February the #stampincovechallenge is a colour challenge – Magenta Madness, Just Jade and Night of Navy. My card was published last weekend so I wanted to share the simple z fold card I created with you.
I used Lovely You, a stamp set in the Annual catalogue that I’ve not really used since I bought it. The card base is Magenta Madness with Basic White and a piece of Gold 6″ x 6″ metallic speciality paper for the scalloped heart. Everything is stamped in Magenta Madness, Just Jade or Night of Navy. To create a focal point for the sentiment from Special Moments (SAB) I used the Heart Punch pack. The crinkled seam binding ribbon and basic pearls were coloured using the dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. The panel on the left is embossed with one of the pretty Meadow Moments folders. A final touch was adding some Brushed Brass Butterflies
This kind of fancy fold is so simple to make and I really enjoy making them. I re-created it in a different colour way so you can see just how easy they are to make. I changed the layout a little and you can watch the video later in this post.
I used the second embossing folder from the Meadow Moments pack and the Rose Metallic Specialty paper
Did you spot that I missed adding a pearl to one of the flowers!
