Today I’m sharing 2-for-1 birthday cards made with the Sweet as a Peach stamp set. I decided to play along with Global Design Project challenge #GDP339.
The theme for this week’s challenge is Flowers which is perfect because Stampin’ Up! have so many floral sets to choose from but I’ve fallen in love with the pretty flowers in the Sweet as a Peach stamp set and have been using them for other projects recently so grab them again. to #GDP339 is the stepped up version while the other card is a good example of #simplestamping
and shows how easy it is to create a pretty handmade card using just ink,
stamps, card and a bit of bling (of course!).
The colour combo Bumblebee (sadly also retiring soon), Granny Apple Green and So Saffron is lovely and fresh – imho! Here are both cards together – do you have a favourite?

Cardstock:
Thick Basic White 14.8cm x 21cm scored at 10.5cm (x2)
Basic White 14.5cm x 20.2cm
Bumblebee 10.2cm x 14.5cm
Basic White quarter sheet
Granny Apple Green and So Saffron – scraps for sentiment
Inks:
Bumblebee, Granny
Apple Green, So Saffron, Versamark
Accessories:
Bumblebee
Stampin’ Write Marker, White Emboss Powder, Gilded Gems, Fine Art Ribbon
Tools and
Adhesives:
Bark
3D Embossing Folder, Heat tool, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Stampin’
Dimensionals, Tear & Tape
Instructions:
- Cut and score card bases.
- Trace a circle as a guide and stamp a wreath in Granny Apple Green.
- Stamp flowers and mini flowers in So Saffron.
- Stamp flower centres in BumbleBee and use Stampin’ Write Marker for mini flower centres.
- Cut panel in half.
- Stamp sentiment in Bumblebee, add to Granny Apple Green and So Saffron strips and trim at an angle.
- Add sentiment strip, gilded gems and add to one card base
- Trim remaining stamped panel to 9.9cm x 14.2cm and emboss with Bark 3D EF
- Stamp and fussy cut extra flowers
- Heat emboss sentiment on Granny Apple Green and trim with So Saffron strip
- Add ribbon with Tear & Tape, glue So Saffron strip and add sentiment strip with dimensionals
- Add extra flowers and Gilded Gems
- Add to Bumblebee panel and to card base
- Splatter both cards with Wink of Stella
