Masking Technique with Stampin’ Up! Lovely as a Tree

Happy Easter guys – hope you’ve had a great time.

We had a short break camping in Dorset, me the hubby and Ollie, the collie, which was lovely. The Jurassic coast is absolutely beautiful and we were blessed with good weather so on Friday we walked West along the coastal path from our campsite in Seatown to Charmouth and back (approx 9 miles) -the next day we walked East to Bridport and West Bay (where Broadchurch was filmed) and on the way back to our site stopped off for a cream tea at a wonderful cafe on Downhouse Farm.

I had intended to make a video yesterday but I was a too relaxed and ended up falling asleep after supper! So today after a lovely lunch at a local pub with both sets of parents earlier today, I came home and made a video showing how easy it is to make a lovely card using the masking technique. I ended up making three cards.

The middle card is a basic single layer card which has one of the stamps from the Lovely as a Tree set #128655 in a circle created using a mask made with the largest circle die from the Layering Circle Framelits #141705. The other two have the same image but are stepped up versions where I added coloured card stock and some embellishments. I’m really pleased with the results.

Here’s the video I made of the basic card. I’ve now got 80 subscribers on YouTube which is amazing. I’m trying to decide on what to do when I get 100 subscribers and think it will have to be a giveaway of some DSP and some other goodies!
