Birthday Wit stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

Happy Wednesday folks

I’m coming on today to quickly share some fun cards made using the brilliant Birthday Wit clear mount stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  When I got my hands on the Spring / Summer Occasions Catalogue at our On Stage event in November last year, I knew I had to get this set as the humour is right up my street!

The first card is CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) from page 9 of the catalogue and is so quick and easy to put together. I used Thick Whisper White cardstock to make a standard A6 card base and stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. I cut out this down and then adhered the speech bubble on to the card front. Adding a few rhinestones finishes it off nicely.

This is a clean and simple card –  I often think less is more!

The second card was made for my father-in-law on his 70th birthday and is larger than my usual. I used the Number of Years photopolymer stamp set to make a background by randomly stamping the numbers on some retired DSP (I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that I’m a collector ,,,,,,, ok hoarder of designer series paper 😂 #loveitchopit). The sentiment panel on a Whisper White cardstock which has been stamped using Dapper Denim and Memento Black ink, The Happy Birthday is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I’m really pleased with way it turned out so did the recipient!

The last card is by far my favourite of the three. This sentiment made me laugh out loud and I wanted to have each line in a different colours so I stamped it using seven different colours and cut them up  (see below) so I could add them . To create a background I used a couple of stamps from the Picture Perfect Birthday photopolymer stamp set using the same colours. A panel of Basic Black cardstock between the Daffodil Delight A6 card base and the Whisper White stamped layer makes the whole thing pop!

Here are all the left over pieces ready for me to make more cards!
