Happy Sunday folks
We are having a wonderful summer so far this year. We had a lovely early walk along the coast this morning and returned along tree-lined footpaths before it got too hot for our collie, who’s ten and struggling in the heat, bless him – mind you so would I if I had to wear a thick fur coat!!
On Thursday evening and Saturday morning, I had my monthly classes. Numbers were lower with holidays etc but that meant I was relaxed and spent more time with everyone. They all loved the projects and to my delight some even adapted my designs to make them their own. There is something so rewarding about inspiring others – it truly is a blessing to be able to #sharewhatyoulove.
Today I’m sharing cards created with the lovely Waterfront stamp set from Stampin’ Up! which had been on my wishlist for a while as I’ve seen so many beautiful projects. Watch out for a more in the coming weeks.
The card for class was monochromatic and inspired by examples I’ve seen on Pinterest. The base is Night of Navy cardstock cut @ 14.9cm x 21cm scored @10.5cm and the whisper white layers (one on the front and one inside) are cut @ 14.4cm x 10cm. The frame was created after the stamping with two of the Layering Ovals Framelits and raised with mini dimensionals. It was lovely to see my friends practice with the stamps to create their own landscapes.
This next card was created in exactly the same way but introduce Garden Green and Daffodil Delight inks. It looks a little crooked bit think that’s my photography skills (lol)! I also stamped the trees on the inside and envelope.
The changes on the final card are a Tranquil Tide card base and Tranquil Tide ink instead of Garden Green.
Here they are together – not bad for a first play! Each look a little different. Do you have a favourite?
Here’s a quick video, if you want to watch how I made the last card. After filming I added a bit of glitter (as you do!) to the water on all three cards.
I hope you enjoyed these projects, do let me know which one you prefer.
