Hello my friends
It’s a wet and windy Sunday here in the UK – come back sunshine, all is forgiven!! The weekend started off great with friends coming over for supper on Friday night. I made everything from scratch including some guacamole, salsa and sour cream and chive dips – I impressed myself as I’m no cook. I took my parents out for lunch yesterday to The Black Rabbit in Arundel. It’s always lovely spending time with my folks, we are very close and I cherish the time we spend together.
I’m a little late posting today as I got distracted but in a good way! I spent this morning, after walking the dog, cleaning and re-organising my craft space. It’s no longer organised chaos but clean and serene, For how long is anyone’s guess hehe!!
Today’s scenic thank you card is made with the versatile Waterfront stamp set and the Seaside embossing folder. I love the artistic feel to this stamp set and am really excited to create more cards and home decor items with it.
The card uses the same products as one of the cards at my August card classes which you can see later in this post but this one only uses Pacific Point and Whisper White cardstock. I love adding texture to my cards and this embossing folder with all its wavy lines is fantastic.
Pacific Point cardstock cut @ 14.9cm x 21cm and scored @ 10.5cm creates a top folding A6 landscape base. Two pieces of whisper white cardstock cut @ 10cm x 14.4cm are used; one to be embossed in the Seaside embossing folder. and the second for inside the card. Pacific Point and Whisper White cardstock cut @ 7.5cm x 10cm is used for the Island scene and the sentiment.
I know I’ve mentioned before how much I love the Stitched Shapes Framelits and really do use them on almost every card. Although I used Stampin’ Write Markers for the palm trees, I’ve listed the ink pads below.
Here’s the card we made at class. The embossed layer is Coastal Cabana – one of my new favourite colours and there’s a piece of Crumb Cake too. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Day stamp set.
