Be Inspired Blog Hop – Thank You

Hello, my crafty friends! 👋

Welcome to the last Be Inspired Blog Hop of 2025! If you’re hopping along, you’ll know you’re in very good company — this hop brings together a wonderfully talented group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, and I’m so grateful to be crafting alongside them.

Our theme this month is Thank You, which feels especially fitting at this time of year. December is always full of appreciation — for friends, family, teachers, neighbours, customers, and all those little kindnesses that pop up throughout the year. I don’t know about you, but I can never have too many thank you cards ready to go!

When I started planning my project, I took a look through my supplies and pulled out the Floral Charm 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. This paper does so much of the heavy lifting — those florals are just begging to be fussy cut. For my sentiment, I chose one from the Charming Day stamp set and paired it with a layout I first used back in May 2022 (I’ll link back to that post for you here). It’s a simple design, but one I come back to again and again because it works beautifully with patterned paper.

Once I’d chosen which sheet of DSP to use, the card came together very quickly. The base is Bubble Bath cardstock, with Night of Navy ink adding a lovely depth and contrast. I fussy cut a selection of flowers from the DSP and used the reverse side of the paper for the card background — I love getting double duty out of designer paper.

To add texture, I cut another piece of Bubble Bath cardstock into two panels and embossed them using the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. These were popped up on the card front with dimensionals, which gives a bit of lift without making the card too bulky. The fussy cut flowers were added across these two panels.

For the sentiment, I only wanted the “Thanks” part of the greeting, so I masked off the words I didn’t need — such a handy trick. I inked the stamp first with Versamark, then with Night of Navy, stamped onto a scrap of Bubble Bath cardstock, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This is one of my favourite ways to get heat embossing in any colour you like. This was also fussy cut and added with dimensionals.

To finish off the card front, I added a double bow using Petunia Pop Iridescent Ribbon and a few Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots for some subtle sparkle. The inside of the card was finished simply with a strip of the Floral Charm DSP to tie everything together.
