Hello
Today I’m coming on to share some cute hexagonal treat boxes that I made for a team swap. These treat boxes were CASED (copy and share everything) from a talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from USA called Julie, the Paper Pixie. A Ferrero Rocher chocolate fit perfectly in each treat box and are quite easy to scale up.
Team swaps
Yesterday my Stampin’ Up! friend and Team Leader, Emma Goddard, hosted a Stampin’ Starfish in-person Team day which was so lovely. As usual we “swapped” projects with each other. What that means is we make a certain number of identical projects and then swap these with projects made by other demos. It’s such a fun way to share ideas and, usually, receive lots of yummy treats! Below you can see all the swaps I made.
And here are all the wonderful swaps that I received from members of the team. The paper I used to make these treat boxes was from a pack called Countrside Rose, which I won in a sales promotion and is the pink version of the Countryside Inn dsp. Click here to see a couple of cards I shared last week using this pretty patterned paper.
A few different treat box sizes
After I had made all my swaps, I decided to use some retired designer series paper and see if I could make these treat boxes in a larger sizes. The original treat box fits one Ferrero Rocher chocolate (other makes would also fit), so below you can see that I made a treat box for two and three chocolates. For those, I only increased the length of the box so the paper was 5″ x 7″ and 6 ⅝” x 7″. I then decided to increase the sides of the hexagon to come up with the largest box. The paper for this was 8 ⅞” x 10 ½”. Any bigger and I suspect you would need to use card, unless your gift was light.
