Today I’m sharing a card I made for this week’s Global Design Project Theme Challenge : Love – Valentine #GDP327.
I love purple – any and every shade – so it was a no brainer to use Gorgeous Grape for my Valentine card. It has been a while since I took part in a Global Design Project challenge. Click here to check out all the fabulous inspiration from the Design Team.
I used Always in my Heart stamp set and Floral Heart dies from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. The larger card base cut from a 12″ x 12″ sheet of basic white measures 5¾” x 11½” scored at 5¾. A layer of Gorgeous Grape measuring 5½” x 5½” is scored around the edge with my trimmer. I applied Gorgeous Grape ink with a blending brush on a layer of basic white measuring 4¼” x 4¼”. The floral heart and banner label were die cut from another piece of basic white using two of the Floral Heart dies. I could have used silver foil for the heart but wanted a vintage look so used silver emboss powder and added it to the card with dimensionals. The sentiment is also heat embossed in silver 9n the banner label. Basic rhinestones add a bit more sparkle to the card.
Below is one of the cards we made in my January card classes using this stamp set and dies. This one is an anniversary card and uses Poppy Parade.I love the sentiment on the heart.
