Happy Sunday! I hope you had a good week. I had three wonderful in-person card classes – it is so lovely to be able to gather together once a month and for a few hours share lots of laughter and fun with friends while creating with Stamps, Ink and Paper.
Today I’m share a cute Valentine’s Card that I totally CASEd from a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Rachel Traudt, Naptime is Stamptime. I fell in love with the cute Otters in the Awesome Otters stamp set which you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-bration (until 28 February 2022) with a qualifying order of £45. I also used some of the pretty Sweet Talk 12″ x 12″ designer series paper from the Jan – June 2022 mini catalogue.
This was the first simple sample I made – the cute otter was stamped in memento on one of the Painted Labels dies and then coloured with Stampin’ Blends. Do you see the otter holding a Highland Heather heart? If you watch my video below you can see how easy it is to add extra features like this to a stamped image.
Inside I stamped another of the cute otters and coloured it the same way.
For the card we made in class, I decided to switch it up a little and cut the designer series paper layer into two and flipped the bottom half so you can see both sides of the gorgeous designer series paper. A second strip of designer series paper is an easy way to hide the join.
This time I stamped the otter on the label before adding Balmy Blue ink with a Blending Brush. I stamped the otter twice more on a separate piece of Basic White cardstock and coloured with Stampin’ Blends before fussy cutting one and just the arms of the other. Both labels are from the Tasteful Labels dies and are added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Real Red Faux Linen ribbon is so soft and easy (unless you’re on film lol) to tie a beautiful bow.
On the inside I stamped another cute otter and added tiny Highland Heather hearts cut using one of the Sweet Heart dies.
