The clean and simple cards I’m sharing today feature Words of Cheer and Christmas To Remember stamp set from the August – December 2021 mini catalogue. I’ve always loved heat embossing as I think it adds a really elegant and magical touch to any project.
This week’s Global Design Project theme challenge #GDP319 is Christmas so these cards are perfect. As always the design team have all made and shared some fabulous projects to inspire us.
I love traditional red and gold so started with that colour combination. Having a white base really makes the red pop. Stamping a whole sheet of A4 at once is a great way of batch making cards which I totally need to do at the moment. I can’t believe it’s nearly December and I’m way behind on finishing my cards! I added a few retired sequins instead of gems – I’ve got so many in my stash! Who’s with me?
I took inspiration for the second card from some of our designer series paper. – Polished Pink with silver embossing and it looks lovely. I have a video on my YouTube channel so you can watch how quick and easy they are to make. I just love the simplicity of these cards.

Words of Cheer and Christmas to Remember
Cardstock:
Thick Basic White 14.8cm x 21cm – scored at 10.5cm
Real Red sheet of A4
Polished Pink sheet of A4
Vellum 5cm x 14cm (x2)
Inks:
Versamark
Accessories:
Metallic Emboss Powder, Subtle Shimmer Sequins
Tools and Adhesives:
Trimmer, Heat Tool, Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Instructions:
·
Cut and score the card base
·
Stamp, heat emboss and trim the sheet of A4 into
4 panels measuring 10.2cm x 14.5cm
·
Stamp and heat emboss the sentiment on Vellum
·
Fold around the panel and glue to front of card
base
· Add the sequins with liquid glue
As I stamped a whole sheet of A4 in each colour way, I was able to easily make 8 cards. Don’t they look fabulous.
