The card I’m sharing today is my entry for this week’s Sketch Challenge #GDP318 over at the Global Design Project. It’s been a while since I participated in any of their challenges so decided it was time to have a go.

I decided to use one of my favourite stamp sets from the August to December 2021 mini catalogue Delivering Cheer. One of the projects in my recent card classes was made with this set and I show you my sample cards in the video below. I’ll share them all in a post later this week.
Supplies used to make today’s card are:
Stamps:
Delivering Cheer
Cardstock:
Petal Pink 29.6cm x 10.5cm scored at 14.8cm
Petal Pink 10.2m x 14.5cm
Pattern Party 12” x 12” designer series paper 7.6cm x 10.2cm (x2)
Basic White Basic for stamping
Inks:
Poppy Parade, Memento Black
Accessories:
Stampin’ Blends – Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Poppy Parade;
Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, Linen Thread, Elegant Faceted gems
Tools and Adhesives:
Tailored Tag Punch, Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder, Paper Snips, Mini Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Instructions:
- Cut and score the card base
- Emboss the layer
- Stamp image in Memento and colour with blends and fussy cut
- Add Stampin’ Write Marker to part of the sentiment and stamp on a strip of Basic White
- Use Tailor Tag punch to create a banner
- Arrange DSP and add stamped image with mini dimensionals
- Tie a bow with Linen Thread round the banner and add to panel with dimensionals
- Add three gems
- Add layer to card base
The Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder gives the background lots of lovely texture and I think the layers of designer series paper work really well together I used the dsp for inspiration when couring in the stamped image. This designer series paper is such great value and is available to purchase when you host a party or workshop. Contact me for more information.
