Hello,
I’ve been looking back through some of my old card designs for inspiration and decided to CASE (copy and share everything) some easy Z fold cards that I made back in May 2018 (click here to see them) using products from the gorgeous Expressions in Ink suite from the Annual Catalogue. I fell in love with the Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ specialty designer series paper which has touches of gold on one side of every design and the Ephemera Pack is full of gold elements as well as some irridescent adhesive backed sequins.
For my card base I chose Polished Pink cut to 14.8cm x 21cm and scored at 3.5cm and 10.5cm. I cut a layer of Basic White for the inside at 10.2cm x 14.5cm and the DSP is the same size but divided into two pieces at 6.7cm. The smallest strip was glued to the right edge of the Basic White layer and the other piece to the front panel.
You can see why this type of card is called a Z fold.
Using the Artistically Inked cling stamp set I stamped the flowers in Pale Papaya, the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and the sentiment in Polished Pink on a piece of Basic White card before cutting them using some of the Artistic Dies. If you buy the stamp set and dies together at the moment you can save 10%.
The gold elements from the Ephemera pack bring out the gold in the dsp and I almost forgot to add the frame to the label die cut using one of the Tasteful Label dies. The flowers were glued together and added to a label with multipurpose liquid glue and the leaves were popped under the flower. When I was happy with the arrangement the label was glued to the front flap. I fussy cut the sentiment and added across the layered flower with dimensionals. A few of the adhesive backed sequins add an extra bit of bling.
