This week’s Global Design Project theme challenge is Thanks, which is perfect as I always need lots of thank you cards. Looking through my craft stash I had plenty of different sets to chose from but eventually settled on Peaceful Cabin because I hadn’t created anything with it yet and it is such a lovely stamp set and co-ordinating dies.

This style of card is such an easy fun fold. I was first shown how to make them by the lovely Emma Goddard, Coastal Crafter. For my card I used an A4 sheet of Basic White Thick card. The back panel measures 6″ x 6″. There are two panel measuring 2¼” x 7″ and 3¾” x 5″ and on the long side of both panels score at ½” from each side. For the background, I used a piece of Peaceful Place 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper measuring 5⅞” x 5⅞” – this paper is absolutely gorgeous, I love the foil accents.
To add an extra bit of sparkle and texture I used Shimmery Embossing Paste. The sentiment is heat embossed with White emboss powder.

Below is another card made with the Peaceful Cabin. On this card I stamped the cabin in memento and coloured it with Stampin’ Blends. Next, I masked the cabin and stamped the trees in Evening Evergreen. To colour the sky I added Balmy Blue with a blending brush. Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies I made a frame with the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.
