Hello and welcome to my blog
Today I’m playing along with this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge #GDP303 Flower Power. Stampin’ Up! have so many beautiful floral sets and I decided to use Shaded Summer from the annual catalogue as I’ve only just got it.
As always there’s plenty of inspiration from the Global Design Project Design Team – this is the badge for this week’s challenge.
For my card I used three of the 2021-2023 In Colors; Polished Pink, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen and the co-ordinating Summer Shadow dies that are one of the Sale-a-bration items you can get for free with a qualifying order.
Supplies to make my cards:-

Shaded Summer

Dies and Embossing Folder:

Accessories:
Stampin’ Blends – Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, White Emboss Powder, Wink of Stella
Tools:
Heat Tool, Multipurpose Glue, Mini Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
Instructions:
Cut and score the card base. Stamp the floral images twice and die cut. Colour the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut the flowers and glue in place on the Mint Macaron die cut. Die cut the Basic White and Evening Evergreen labels. Stamp a few sprigs on the Basic White label and adhere the die cuts. Emboss the strip of Basic White and glue across the Soft Succulent piece of DSP. Layer the labels and add to DSP. Tie a bow and add with a mini glue dot. White heat emboss the sentiment on a scrap of Evening Evergreen. Fussy cut and add with mini dimensionals. Add basic rhinestones.
For the inside, I white heat embossed the sentiment on Evening Evergreen and die cut with the Stitched Rectangles.
I made a second landscape version with Real Red flowers – here they are both together.
There is a video tutorial of the second card for you to watch – I have two versions of that card as my first version stopped recording half way through!!
If you click below you can watch me make the second card. I love both – do you have a favourite? I think the second one would be a lovely Christmas card don’t you think?
