Hello,
This week the Global Design Project have set a Sketch Challenge #GDP306 and I immediately thought about one of the cards from my recent card class using the Plentiful Plants Suite and Scalloped Contours dies in the Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue.
This is the sketch of this week’s challenge:
There are so many ways to interpret sketches to make them your own and as usual the Design Team have given us lots of inspiration.
I love this pack of designer series paper and makes a really pretty background. Inside I kept it simple by just stamping a pot and a plant.
Supplies to make my cards:-
Stamps:
Plentiful Plants
Cardstock:
Just Jade 14.8cm x 21cm scored @ 10.5cm
Bloom Where You’re Planted designer series paper – 8.2cm x 11.4cm
Evening Evergreen – 8.5cm x 11.7cm
Basic White – 10.2cm x 14.5cm (x2) and a quarter sheet for stamping
Inks:
Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Garden Green, Evening Evergreen
Dies and Embossing Folder:
Perfect Plants and Scalloped Contour dies
Accessories:
Linen thread
Tools:
Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals
Instructions:
Cut and score card base. Stamp the sentiment in Evening Evergreen on the DSP. Stamp the pot in Cinnamon Cider and the plants in Just Jade, Garden Green and Evening Evergreen. Die cut the stamped images and the largest Scalloped Contours Label. Layer the Evening Evergreen on the Label and the DSP on top of that. Tie Linen Thread round the pot. Add to panel wth a dimensional and arrange the plants. Stamp another pot and plant on the inside piece and glue inside.
This is the card we made at class. The base for this card is Garden Green.
