Hello and welcome to my blog
It was my birthday on Thursday and I had a wonderful day starting with a walk on the downs with my puppy, followed by lunch with my bestie, a friend popped round for a cuppa in the afternoon and to finish off we had a takeaway with my parents in the evening. It felt almost “normal” after the past 18 months of craziness.
I have lots of thank you cards to write and send so decided to make a couple of cards to share with you today featuring the lovely Color & Contour Bundle by Stampin’ Up! This is a two step stamp set and the in fill stamp gives a watercolor look to the flowers.
The colours in my first sample are Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive – such a lovely bright combination. For my second card I went for Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate and Pear Pizzazz – another great colour combo. It’s my first play with this lovely bundle although I’ve had it for a while and I really enjoyed making these clean and simple cards. As usual my samples are slightly different – I do struggle making multiples of the same card (apart from at Christmas lol)!
I decided not to use any of the fabulous label dies (I love that the stitching on each label is slightly different) but the edge die down the right hand edge of the card front exposing the inside back panel, where I added an embossed piece of card.

Supplies to make my card –
Stamps:
Color & Contour stamp set
Cardstock:
Card 1 – Flirty Flamingo, Card 2 – Coastal Cabana – 14.8cm x 21cm score at 10.5cm
Basic White – 10.5cm x 14.8cm (x2) plus another piece to stamp a flower
Inks:
Card 1 – Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive, Card 2 – Coastal Cabana and Pear Pizzazz

Scalloped Contour Dies, Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals
Card 1 – Meadow Moments, Card 2 – Greenery Embossing Folders
Card 1 – Dark Daffodil Delight, Card 2 – Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends
Instructions:
Cut and score the card base. Stamp the outline flower four times; twice on the front panel, once on the inside panel and once on the scrap Basic White in Flirty Flamingo. Stamp the in fill on each flower again with Flirty Flamingo – lining it up as best you can. Stamp the sentiments in Old Olive and stamp the dots on the front panel, stamping off to get a lighter colour. Trim the inside panel to 7cm and emboss the thin strip with one of the Meadow Embossing Folders. Use the Scalloped Edge Die on the card base and front panel and die cut the flower. Glue the inside panels in place leaving a small space between them so you can see the base. Glue the outside panel in place. Add the flower with a dimensional. Finish the card by adding three adhesive backed sequins.
You can watch a video of me making the next card a little later in this post. It’s almost identical but this time I cut the front panel slightly smaller so you can see more of the card base. It always amazes me how our colours lighten after stamping.
I had intended to make the inside the same as before but at the last minute decided to use the pieces of card cut off by the Scalloped Edge die – always pleased not to waste anything!
The Basic White piece was embossed with on of the Greenery Embossing Folders.
