Today I’m playing along with #GDP300 a CASE the designer challenge over at the Global Design Project. For my card I used Brilliant Wings dies and Welcoming Windows Stamp Set.
This week we are CASEing a card by Steffi Helmschrott, one of the talented design team members, from Germany.
CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit
When you CASE a project you take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set – the colors, the layout, the theme, the images – whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own.
Here’s the fabulous project that we’re CASEing this week:
I wanted to copy the layout and watercolour wash behind beautiful die cut butterfly.
Supplies to make my card –

Welcoming Window
Cardstock:
Thick Basic White – 14.8cm x 21cm score at 10.5cm
2021-2023 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP – 9.5cm x 13.8cm
Shimmery White A4 Cardstock – 8.5cm x 13.8cm
Basic White – 7.4cm x 10.5cm
Evening Evergreen – scrap
Inks:
Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent ink refill, Versamark
Accessories:
2021-2023 In Color Jewels
Tools:
Brilliant Wings Dies, Heat Tool, Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals, White Emboss Powder, Water Painter, Blending Brush
Instructions:
Cut and score the card base. Create the watercolour wash with a Water Painter and some Soft Succulent Ink Refill. Set aside to dry or use a heat tool. Glue to DSP. Attach panel with dimensionals. Die cut die three detailed butterflies. Add Fresh Freesia with a Blending Brush. Add butterflies with Mini Glue Dots. Stamp the sentiment on Evening Evergreen in Versamark and heat emboss in White. Trim and add with dimensionals. Add five jewels. Stamp sentiment on inside in Evening Evergreen.
