I hope your week has been a good one – mine started with a lovely surprise on Monday because my card for last week’s Global Design Project challenge #GDP295 was picked as a #GDPwinner! How wonderful is that.
Today I’m playing along with #GDP296 a CASE the designer challenge. For my card, I used Celebrate Sunflowers, Many Messages Bundle and some retired Brights designer series paper from my “collection”. I even took the time to lined up the design – neat eh!
I’m so excited to be CASE-ing the talented and lovely Emma at Coastal Crafter – her card is beautiful and as usual there’s lots of inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.
I was totally inspired by the blocks of colour down the left hand side of Emma’s card and the monochromatic stamping.
For my card I started with Thick Basic White cut @ 14.8cm x 21cm scored @ 10.5cm for the base. I cut small blocks of retired Brights designer series paper and glued them to a piece of Basic White measuring 4cm x 14.5cm before adding to the base. On another piece of Basic White cut @ 9cm x 14.5cm I randomly stamped the large sunflower in Smoky Slate. I glued a strip of Silver foil (also retired) to the left hand side of the stamped panel before adding to the base. I used a sentiment label that I had previously stamped using Many Messages in Versamark on Basic Black and heat embossed in White. I die cut another Silver Foil label using the Messages die and layered them before adding to the card with mini dimensionals. I tied a Pool Party Sheer Ribbon bow and adhered beside the label with a Mini Glue Dot. Last bit not leadt I added some of the pretty Artistry Blooms Adhesive Backed sequins.
I made a second card, this time creating a rainbow with blocks of Brights cardstock. To change it up a little I used gold foil, Fine Art ribbon and different coloured sequins from Artistry Blooms.
