Anniversary cards – Love You Always Suite by Stampin’ Up!

Hello

Today I’m sharing my entry for this week’s Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #GDP294. This week has flown by probably because it was a short week with a bank holiday on Monday so I almost missed the deadline for the challenge but managed to upload photo’s on Instagram this afternoon.

I used some of the products from the Love You Always suite from the Stampin’ Up! January to June 2021 mini catalogue – some will retire soon so click on the photo’s at the bottom of this post if, like me, you need to have them in your craft room!

I enjoy participating in the Global Design Project challenges every week – they help inspire me. As always you will find lots of fabulous cards made by the talented design team here. Below is the sketch we were given to interpret in any way we see fit – I’ve taken it quite literally!

My clean and simple anniversary card has a Polished Pink card base cut @ 14.8cm x 21cm – scored @ 10.5cm with a matting layer of Basic White card cut @ 10cm x 14.3cm. I cut two x 2.5cm x 11cm strips of True Love designer series paper (dsp) adding Polished Pink ink around the edges with a Blending Brush before adding with multi purpose liquid glue. I made the word Love using two of the Always dies from Polished Pink and Basic White and added over the dsp with mini dimensionals. I stamped You from the Forever & Always stamp set in Memento. I stamped the hearts in Polished Pink ink and then went over them and the word Love with my wink of stella brush – it doesn’t show in the photo’s but adds a nice touch of sparkle.

Inside I stamped a sentiment from Always in My Heart stamp set in Memento on a Sweetly Stitched die (retired) label that I had to hand and added Polished Pink ink around the outside with a Blending Brush and glued that to the top flap. On a second piece of Basic White cut @ 10cm x 14.3cm, I glued a thin strip of the dsp to a layer of Basic White and stamped another sentiment again from the same stamp set in Memento.

I made a second card using Misty Moonlight card and ink and the reverse side of the same dsp which you can watch in the video below. Both are so pretty – do you have a favourite?

The card base was cut @ 10.5cm x 29.7cm – scored @ 14.8cm.
