Today I’m sharing a fun fold card that I learned how to make at a recent Card and Cuppa on-line class hosted by Emma Goddard, Coastal Crafter. I feel so lucky to have found Emma’s on-line classes they have helped keep me sane during this past year.
I started out with good intentions but ended up pulling out a few different sets to make this card – some are sadly retiring so if you want to get your hands on them pop over to my on-line shop to get them before they are gone forever!
Products use:
Stamps and Dies: Arrange a Wreath Bundle, Basket of Blooms stamp set and Hey Chick Bundle (all on the retiring list), Stitched Rectangle dies,
Ink: Memento, Bumblebee, Terracotta Tile, Crumb Cake
Paper: Bumblebee, Basic White, Floral Art Gallery DSP
Embellishments: Linen Thread, Wink of Stella
Tools: Stampin’ Blends – Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, Blending Brush, Paper Snips
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I’m not entirely sure what this fun fold is called but you can see below how it stands. So I started with a standard A6 Bumblebee tall base (i.e. half a sheet of A4 cut long ways) and trimmed it to 24cm, scored @ 14.8cm. I next glued a piece of Floral Art Gallery DSP measuring 10cm x 14.3cm to the inside flap and a piece measuring 6.5cm x 10cm to the front. Another piece of Bumblebee card measuring 7cm x 21cm, scored @ 10.5cm was glued to the inside. Stamp the sentiment from Arrange a Wreath in Memento on a piece of Basic White measuring 6.5cm x 10cm and glue to the inside and add some Floral Art Gallery DSP measuring 6.5cm x 10cm to the front flap.
Next I stamped the basket from Basket of Blooms and funky haired chick from Hey Chick in Memento on a half sheet of Basic White and coloured with Stampin’ Blends before die cutting and fussy cutting. Next I stamped the eggs from Arrange a Wreath multiple times in Bumblebee and Terracotta Tile stamped off before die cutting using the Arrange a Wreath dies. I stamped Hey chick on a scrap of Crumb Cake in Terracotta Tile and die cut using the co-ordinating die. To add definition to the sign I added Crumb Cake with a blending brush and to the white stitched rectangle.
I added the basket and sign with dimensionals and then glued the eggs in the basket and tied the linen thread on the flap. The Chick was added with dimensionals to the base and holds the flap in place. The sentiment from Arrange a Wreath was stamped in Memento on the side.
