Stampin’ Up! Many Messages – #GDP278 Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog,

Happy Valentine’s Day – I hope you are safe and well. Today I’m back with my entry for this weeks sketch challenge at the Global Design Project – #GDP278.  

I decided to make my card a slimline card and and am so pleased with the way it turned out. I even managed to use some bits and pieces from my stash.

Below is the sketch and as always there is lots of fabulous inspiration from talented design team members which you can see here.

To start, I cut Gorgeous Grape card @ 19cm x 20cm and scored @ 9.5cm to create a slimline card base. I cut two pieces of White card @ 9.2cm x 19.7cm one for the front, the other for the inside. Next I glued thin strips of Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight (all from the Brights collection) to a piece of white card cut @ 4cm x 18cm. I added that to one of the white panels and trimmed off the excess before spraying with home made shimmer spray. I set the panel aside to dry before gluing it to the card front.  I glued a wreath cut from White card with one of the Wreath Builder dies from my stash across the strips. The sentiment from Many Messages is White Heat Embossed on Black card and added with mini dimensionals.
