Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited Bundle cards

Hello and welcome to my blog,

If you’re anything like me, you may struggle with inspiration for the dreaded masculine cards so when I first saw the Handsomely Suited Suite in the new Stampin’ Up! Jan – June 2021 mini catalogue, I knew straight away that I needed to have it all – lol.

Up until this week I hadn’t really had the chance to play with this bundle apart from making a fun birthday card for a friend at the beginning of December – check it out on my Instagram here.

As another friend was celebrating his birthday yesterday it was the perfect excuse to pull out the bundle and see what I could make.

This card was totally inspired by the suit my husband wore on our wedding day and I love how it turned out.  I will either give it to hubby as a Valentines Day or Anniversary card. I’ve made a little video which you can find later in this post to show you how easy this card is to put together.

The base is Night of Navy card cut @ 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm scored @ 14.8 cm. I cut a piece of white card measuring 10 cm x 14 cm for the shirt. The jacket front is made from a piece of Night of Navy cut @ 10 cm x 14.4 cm. The lapel and pocket are also cut from Night of Navy card. I cut the shirt collar from a scrap of white card. The tie, knot and another collar to make the handkerchief are die cut from Highland Heather card. If you watch the video you will see I nearly messed up as I glued the blue card to the white card and only just managed to tuck the tie between the two layers! I added the shirt collar and pocket to the card with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink on white card and punched out with the Classic Label punch. This was also added with dimensionals.

The next card is the one I made for my friends birthday on Friday.  Isn’t it cute!  The base is Very Vanilla card cut @ 27 cm x 13.5 cm scored @ 13.5. The background is embossed with the Bricks & Mortar 3D embossing folder from another piece of Very Vanilla cut @ 13 cm x 13 cm. The braces are die cut from Night of Navy card and the buckles are cut with gold foil. The shirt is made with some retired DSP. The sentiment is stamped on Very Vanilla and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch. I also punched a Night of Navy label and cut in half to layer behind the sentiment which was added with dimensionals.

Here’s the video for the blue card – I hope you enjoy the card and video.
