Hello – welcome to my blog
While tidying my craft room the other day, I came across a piece of watercolour paper from a few months ago. It would have been a waste to throw it away so I put on my thinking cap and these are the two cards I made. What do you think?
It was so much fun getting messy with re-inkers from the Brights collection; Gorgeous Grape, Pacific Point, Granny Apply Green, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Real Red and Melon Mambo to make a rainbow panel. Before adding colour to the Fluid 100 watercolour paper use a water painter to wet the paper. Dry between colours then spray with homemade shimmer spray to add sparkle. Sadly this doesn’t show in the photos!
Card 1:-
- Cut Pacific Point card @ 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm and score @ 14.8 cm.
- Create a tone on tone background with Pacific Point ink using Pattern Play.
- On the watercolour paper measuring 9cm x 12.5cm use a stitched shaped rectangles die (leaving a narrow frame to use on card 2.
- Stamp a frame from Swirly Frames in Versamark and heat emboss in white.
- Use the Playful Alphabet dies to cut the word Smile from the panel.
- Add dimensionals to the back of the watercolour panel and stick on to a piece of whisper white measuring 8cm x 11.5cm then glue to base.
- Stamp the sentiment from Fancy Phrases in Versamark on Pacific Point and heat emboss in white. Trim and glue to panel.
- Glue whisper white measuring 10.2cm x 14.5cm to the inside after stamping the top right and bottom left corners.
These cards are so vibrant aren’t they. I do love the Brights collection.
Card 2:-
- Cut Gorgeous Grape card @ 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm and score @ 14.8 cm.
- Create a tone on tone background with Gorgeous Grape ink using Pattern Play.
- Emboss whisper white measuring 9cm x 12.5cm with one of the Greenery embossing folders
- Glue the watercolour frame to the embossed panel and glue to base.
- Add dimensionals to the back of the die cut letters and add across the panel.
- Stamp the sentiment from Fancy Phrases in Versamark on Gorgeous Grape and heat emboss in white. Trim and add to panel with dimensionals.
- Glue whisper white measuring 10.2cm x 14.5cm to the inside after stamping the top right and bottom left corners.
