Hello friends welcome to my blog
Today I’m sharing two more cards made with the Power of Hope Bundle which includes the stamp set and the Stone 3D Embossing Folder. You can earn this bundle FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration which runs until the end of March 2020.
Below is a clean and simple card featuring the Stone 3D embossing folder with the lanterns and sentiment from the Power of Hope stamp set. The card base is Petal Pink, as is the embossed layer, which is cut 0.5cm smaller. The lanterns and sentiment are stamped in Memento Black ink onto the largest scalloped rectangle die cut from the Sweetly Stitched Dies. The lanterns were coloured with Balmy Blue, Petal Pink and Mint Macaron from the Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers set. The strings were drawn with a Basic Black Stampn’ Write Marker. I used a piece of glitter washi tape from my stash across the middle of the panel to add a bit of sparkle – cos you know I love a bit of sparkle!!
The card below looks a little more fancy but was easy to make. The base is Smoky Slate as is the embossed layer cut 0.5cm smaller and the topper is the largest scalloped rectangle from the Sweetly Stitched dies like the first card. To create the background I gently dragged the Mossy Meadow, Pretty Peackock and Smoky Slate across the embossed layer building up colour – I’m so happy with the way it turned out. The lady and sentiment were stamped in Soft Suede on to the die cut panel and I stamped the lady on two scraps of Perennial Essence DSP and fussy cut them before gluing into place – this is a technique called paper piecing and is a great way of using up scraps of paper. The add that bit of sparkle I added a selection of sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment.
