Today I’m sharing one of the cards from my February classes. It’s a clean and simple card that shows just how easy it is to create a card with some beautiful designer series paper and a few other bits and bobs!
The gorgeous paper is from the Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ DSP stack. Stampin’ Up! papers are usually double sided and this pack has beautiful florals one side and graphics on the other. I picked Daffodil Delight for the card base to tie in with the centre of the flowers cut @ 14.8cm x 21cm and scored at 10.5cm. The DSP is cut 0.5cm smaller @ 10cm x 14.3cm leaving and small border. I used two of the shaped dies from the Stitched so Sweetly set; the largest in Melon Mambo and the top layer in whisper white. The sentiment is simply stamped in Old Olive. I used a small strip of pink glimmer paper from my stash to add a bit of sparkle. The double bow is made with two strands from the White Flax ribbon and three Frosted Epoxy shapes add the finishing touches.
I’ve made a video for the next card so you can see how quick and easy they are to make. It’s the same layout as above but in this card I’ve used BlackBerry Bliss for the base and the strip is Sparkle glimmer paper which looks amazing.
I used different dies from the Stitched So Sweetly set; the larger one is cut from vellum. I heat emboss the sentiment on Purple Posy card (not Pink Posy as I say in the video) with clear emboss powder and Blackberry Bliss ink. I love that we achieve any colour heat embossing with the inks we have and clear emboss powder. The Thank you is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in white emboss powder on a piece of BlackBerry Bliss then fussy cut.
The small strip of the same DSP on the inside ties it all together.
