I’m late sharing the projects from my classes in December but hope you’ll indulge me as this blog helps me keep an online record of all our makes.
I forgot to take a photo of the 21st birthday card before I gave it to a friend for her son, so the image below is my mock up. The actual card was on a smoky slate base cut @ 6″ x 6″. The balloons are from a retired hostess set but the rest of the card was stamped using Family Party. On the card itself I used Smoky Slate and silver embossing powder and coloured the baloons with Stampin’ Blends. (I’m kicking myself that I don’t have a photo!).
The next card was CASEd from page 85 of the annual catalogue – if I’m stuck for ideas, I often find inspiration in the catalogue.
The card base is thick Very Vanilla card with a very vanilla matt layer cut slightly smaller. That was embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder and sprayed with homemade shimmer spray. It doesn’t show in the photo but it’s so sparkly! I stamped the flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Terracotta Tile and Crushed Curry ink. The leaves were die cut from scraps of Garden Green, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. The arrangement is stuck to a Stitched Rectangle. The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede and punched with the Everyday Label Punch. Stitched Rectangle dies. The bow is made from 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim. All the products used are listed below.
The next card is so pretty (well I think so) it is made with Seaside Spray and whisper white card stock. The matt layer is embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. The strip of DSP is from the Brights Designer Series Pack and the Scalloped Lace trim. Happy to detailed instruction if anyone is interested.
