Hello my crafty friends
Sorry for being a little late again …. I really need to get ahead of myself but the week has flown by again. I was dithering about what card to share with you today and got side tracked as we had the parents over for dinner and I’ve just finished editing this blog post and YouTube tutorial!
Today I’m sharing another clean and simple Christmas card using stamps from Merry Christmas and Love What You Do stamps sets. The Stamparatus makes the stamping so quick and it would be so easy to do a batch of these cards. I wanted to show how to use the Embossing Mats with the Big Shot to add texture to our projects with framelits and dies we have in our stash.
My first example is Cherry Cobbler (base cut @ 14.9cm x 21cm; scored @ 10.5cm and blends). I love the detail of the frame around the floral image without adding any bulk to the card – keeping postage costs down. I get so much use out of my Stitched Shapes Framelits. The score blade on my Stampin’ Trimmer creates a simple frame round the edge of the whisper white layer (cut @ 10cm x 14.4cm).
On the second card I decided to have Merry Christmas rather than happy and went for a non-traditional colour – Calypso Coral and love the way it turned out – so prett.
For the inside of both cards, because I’m running low on card stock with my swaps, I used 110gsm white copy paper.
