Hello my friends
I hope you have had a wonderful week. We’re just back from a week’s holiday in Spain visiting my in-laws. The last time we went was 2003, it’s hard to believe it was 15 years ago!! It was so lovely spending time with them, meeting their friends, seeing their beautiful garden, going to the beach and generally enjoying ourselves. Spending time with family really is precious!
The weekend has flown by far too quickly, Saturday morning was spent making cards with my good friend Nicky and her Nan (who is an amazing 95 year old!). We visited friends who recently moved into a beautiful new home in the afternoon and today, after shooting the video of the card I’m sharing today, we spent a wonderful few hours with two dear friends, one of whom I’ve not seen for 11 years.
Today I’m sharing a simple and fast one layer (well almost) Christmas card made with the Half Full clear mount stamp set from Stampin’ Up! This is the first play I’ve had with this set and am already looking forward to makind more cards with it.
For this card you need minimal supplies – the A6 cardbase is made with Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut @ 14.9cm x 21cm and scored @ 10.5cm plus two pieces of Whisper White cardstock cut @ 14cm x 9.5cm, one for the front and the other for the inside. Memento Black ink was used to stamp the images and light Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pool Party and Slate Grey Stampin’ Blends were used to colour them plus the Color Lifter and some Multipurpose liquid glue.
The sentiments are such fun and really appealed to me when I saw the stamp set. below is the inside.
I tried something a little different in my video today. The App I use worked brilliantly and I sliced the video so I could speed up the bit of me colouring. I also did a voiceover which isn’t as easy as it sounds but I’m pretty pleased with the way it turned out. I’d love to hear what you think.
