Today I’m bringing you a bag made from a sheet of teg gorgeous Share What You Love 12″ x 12″ Speciality Designer Series Paper.
If you follow my blog and watch my tutorials on YouTube you know that I usually make cards but I’m trying to push myself out of my comfort zone so hope you love this as much as I do.
It’s a generous sized bag measuring 7½” tall, 3½” wide and 2¼” deep. I made it for a friend’s birthday and just love making packaging for gifts.
To create the bag you need a piece of 12″ x 12″ DSP score @ 3 ½”, 5¾”, 9¼” and 11½”, rotate 45° and score @ 2″, 4¼” and 9¾”. Watch the video towards the bottom of this post to see which bits to cut and how the bag comes together. It’s really simple.
The first one was made (a prototype I guess) with some retired DSP from my “collection”(ok stash!). The bag is based on a breakfast bar box – am I the only one who takes apart packaging to see how it’s made?
I’m still having a few issues with the quality of my video’s. Ever since my Samsung A3 automatically updated sofware, the camera is having trouble and jumps in and out of focus. I hope you can bare with me as I try to find an affordable replacement. I’m upgrading my phone at the end of November but hope I’ll find a good alternative soon. I’d love to get some proper equipment but I just can’t justify the cost (at the moment)!
After finishing the video I decided to add some artisan pearls to the label – just couldn’t help myself. Every project needs a bit of bling lol. I’d love to know what you think so please leave me a comment if you have time.
