Happy Wednesday folks
Today, I’m sharing 9 cards made from one 12″ x 12″ sheet of retired Whole Lots of Lovely Designer Series Paper from my stash.
Sadly we had a death in the family over the weekend (my hubby’s uncle) so needed sympathy cards. I find them tough to make and decided to use DSP (#loveitchopit) and some bits & pieces I’d stamped, embossed, punched or die cut over recent months. I came across them the other week while having a clear out / re-organisation of my scraps pile! I also used unfinished cards that I just couldn’t throw away – (coughing) I’m a collector not a hoarder!!! So these cards are made up from scraps of card, retired ribbon, retired cardstock etc.
Each is different, quick to make and they turned out great. I haven’t done a template but if anyone wants one, leave a comment and I’ll get one done.
The DSP is gorgeous (why haven’t I used it before?) so I kept the cards clean and simple.
There was a little DSP left over for another card but I fussy cut the flowers from that piece to add to some of the cards for a 3D look.
I used dies and embossed pieces to create different looks.
It was fun playing around with all the bits and pieces to create these cards and deciding on the layouts. Creativity really is my therapy and #creativemindfulness.
If felt great not only to use DSP from my stash (I’m waiting for new DSP ordered with the amazing buy 3 get 1 free offer) but bits and pieces I’ve been “collecting” over the past few months ….. I knew if I kept them long enough, I’d use them!!
