Hello again!
It’s July already – how did that happen? It’s been hotter in the UK this week than Tenerife – now that doesn’t happen very often!
Today I’ve been playing with some of the new (to me) Stampin’ Up! colours. I can see why everyone is happy about Coastal Cabana returning as it’s lovely and I know will be a firm favourite!
I decided to make some cards using the Oh So Eclectic stamp set as I haven’t really had a chance to create with it. The first card I made had, yes you guessed it, a Coastal Cabana card base. When playing around with new colours for the first time, I like to limit my colour palette so this is a lovely simple card with a panel of Whisper White cut @ 7cm x 14.9cm edged with a strip of Basic Black that I punched to create a decorative ribbon border – it’s so pretty. I decided to use one of the sentiments from the Share What You Do stamp set and added a tiny bow with some retired Basic Black Bakers Twine.
I’ve used this layout before and love the way the card looks – clean and simple. The flowers remind me of one of the stamps in the Love What You Do stamp set. Here’s the inside.
Today’s video, which you can watch by clicking the link below, shows you how to make a card using Lovely Lipstick one of the five new In-Colors. It’s so vibrant – oh dear not another favourite!!
I decided not to use the Decorative Ribbon border punch this time (basically to save time with the video) and simply layered the Whisper White on a piece of Basic Black.
