Hello there,
Today, I’m sharing a couple of cards made with the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and matching Eclectic Layers Thinlits using two new purple colours.
The flowers and leaves are stamped in Gorgeous Grape and Highlight Heather inks on Whisper White cardstock before being die cut with my trusty Big Shot. I love my Sizzix Big Shot – it’s an essential tool in my craft room. Stamped images can be fussy cut but using Thinlits and Framelits are so much quicker.
I love seeing the darker base through the intricate die cut area. Retired ribbon and clear epoxy shapes add the finishing touch. I had to show a close up of the flowers – see the sparkle? Can you believe it, all three of my Clear Wink of Stella pens were running out at once so I decided to try a trick to extend their lives. Basically, unscrew the bottom and remove the inner piece, add a small amount of rubbing alcohol into the resevoir, put it all back together, shake and voila, more glitter – so happy!
The leaf image was stamped (second generation) on the inside.
For the second card multipurpose liquid glue was added to the die cut pieces from the first card while still in the intricate die. A piece of Whisper White cardstock was placed on top so the pieces could be pushed onto the card with a die brush. Again I used retired ribbon and gems to add the finishing touches.
Remember the wink of stella acts like a blender pen, spreading ink as well as adding glitter. The flowers look pink but only Gorgeous Grape was used. For the inside the leaf image was partially stamped down the right hand side.
