It’s the weekend again – whoop whoop!
I had my monthly classes this week (Thursday evening and Saturday morning) and I failed to take any photo’s during but managed to take this one of the aftermath on Thursday. My kitchen looked like a bomb had gone off but it was worth it. I love playing with ink, card and glitter and get such joy sharing that love with others.
I’m blessed to have wonderful friends who come back every month to make cards and have creative fun. This month I got a little carried away and incorporated too many different techniques but they all did really well.
This is one of the card we made using the lovely Bella & Friends stamp set (my friend Christine leant it to me – I’ve been meaning to buy it and now I must have it in my stash).
The above sample (for class) is a top folding Daffodil Delight card base (basically a sheet of A4 cut @ 10.5 x 29.7cm and scored @ 14.4cm), Basic Black (cut @ 7.5cm x 10.5cm) and Whisper White (cut @7cm x 10cm) for the front and another (cut @ 10cm x 14.4cm) for the inside. The images (so cute) and sentiment are stamped with Memento Black ink. To create the background, I stamped the images again on a post-it note and cut out the balloon, Bella and bird to create a mask. After adding the masks, I sponged Pool Party ink moving the cloud shape (made with the retired tree builder punch) from the top to the bottom until I was happy with the clouds. The images are coloured with Stampin’ Write Markers and the panels added to the card.
I re-created the card using Cherry Cobbler for the base and Pacific Point for the background and love the way it looks.
I even stamped the little bird holding a heart on the inside. So adorable!
