The eclipse technique was popular at the end of last year but I didn’t get round to trying it until earlier in the year and now I’m hooked!
I purchased the amazing Stampin’ Up! Large Letters Framelits Dies which are well worth the investment. There’s a matching stamp set. I’ve not got those yet …. but they’re on my wishlist obviously!
The first card I made was for our cousin’s daughter on her 16th birthday – I used retired Designer Series Paper with Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist Ink. The Happy Birthday sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder on a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. A small bow made from organza ribbon and some basic pearls finish the card off.
The next card was for our cousin’s wife “big” birthday – I used more of the retired DSP and as she loves purple (a girl after my own heart) Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder ink. The sentiment is from the Number of Years stamp set. I also used some washi tape and silver glitter ribbon from previous Sale-a-brations. I really must stop hoarding!! (The small numbers were die cut using dies from another manufacturer)
This next card I made for my lovely hubby for Valentine’s Day and I used the Heart Happiness stamp set and the Lovely Words Thinlits Dies
The last card I’m sharing is one I made for my Mum on Mother’s Day. I used the Painted Harvest stamp set to create a panel that I layered on Early Espresso cardstock and Delightful Daisy DSP. The sentiment at the top left is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set and both are fussy cut and added with Stampin’ dimensionals. I wrapped Linen Thread round the top several times to finish it off. I was really pleased with the way it turned out and she loved it, which was the main thing!
The main sentiment on the inside is from a retired stamp set and the other is from Teeny Tiny Wishes
