I’ve fallen in love with the new Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette bundle

Hello crafters

It’s Sunday again, I hope you’ve had a good week.

I’m bringing you another card we made at class the other week made using the gorgeous new Petal Palette Clear-Mount Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! Spring / Summer Occasions Catalogue.

The card base is half a sheet of A4 Pool Party Cardstock scored at 10.5cm. The Old Olive layer is cut at 12.6 x 8.5cm to leave a slightly larger border than usual and the Whisper White layer is cut slightly smaller to leave a thin green border. Pool Party Classic Stampin’ Pad creates texture around the edge of the base using one of the stamps from the set. Whenever possible I die cut elements from matting layers and for this card the foliage is cut from the Old Olive layer. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark on a scrap of Basic Black, heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and die cut using one of the Layering Circle Framelits. The flowers are stamped on the white matting layer, the two birds on a scrap of Whisper White in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloured using Watercolor Pencils. The birds are die cut with the matching framelits.  Multi purpose glue and dimensionals are used to attach the various elements to the card.

The inside is stamped with second generation Old Olive Classic Ink and the sentiment in Memento ink and I think finishes of the card beautifully (even if I say so myself!).

This is my work surface as I got ready to start videoing.

You can follow the tutorial below.

I have more lovely cards to share with you in the coming days and weeks.
