This weekend demonstrators from all over the UK will be attending a Stampin’ Up! OnStage local event in Solihull.
It was an exclusive event for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and offers an inspiring agenda bursting with creativity, we get sneak peeks, the opportunity to craft with new products, training and the chance to celebrate achievers.
I joined the SU family in October 2015 so this will be my second OnStage. Last year inspired me to start this blog, have classes / workshops and create my YouTube Channel. Crafting is a passion (or therapy lol) and becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and having the opportunity to start my own little crafting business has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! It is customary to swap! What is that I hear you ask! Swapping helps us share our creativity, appreciate the creativity of others and collect ideas. A card front, a 3D project, simple or complex it is entirely up to us as long as we use items from the current catalogues. It is a great way to meet new friends, get new ideas and have some fun.
Last year I made these cute little boxes with belly bands, which held 4 fridge magnets using clear pebbles with In-Colour Designer Series Paper. I punched out circles with the words Create, Inspire and Share from the DSP and glued them to the bottom of each pebble before adding the magnets. The last one was flowers. I thought it was clever!
This year I’ve made tea bag holders using the Envelope Punch Board. I used two 12 x 12 ” sheets of each colour of the latest In-Color Fresh Florals DSP and the new Label Me Pretty bundle.
I hope everyone I swap with liked them! They can even re-use the envelope on another project if they want to as there’s no glue.
They are fairly quick and easy to make you can get four out of each sheet of DSP – cut down to 5″ x 5″ from the spare you can get the strips for the belly bands.
