Back again – two days in a row, I know what is going on!
An even quicker post today to share the card I made and gave to my lovely Dad for Father’s Day today. I used a recently retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Nailed It that I bought as a bundle from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue with some matching framelits.
I’m gutted it hasn’t carried over to the new Annual Catalogue as I think both the stamps and dies are great for male cards, which I often struggle with. Oh well, I’ll get over it as there are so many fantastic sets in the new catalogue!
I also wanted to share another video – I thought I should film a few while I’m on a roll as I’ve been so slack of late! This is another card made with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous bundle and the Number of Years stamp set with the Large Number Framelits. I wanted to keep the card fairly simple with minimal colours but wanted to add a bit of texture to the background so used the Brick Wall Textured Impressions embossing folder I’m rather pleased with the way it turned out.
I used Soft Sky for the base, Night of Navy for the first matting layer and whisper white for the top mat. I cut the Happy Birthday from the matting layer to be frugal and then a scrap to die cut the numbers and little banner. Inside has another mat of whisper white which is stamped with Night of Navy and Pool Party ink. I embossed the flap of the envelope to with the same embossing folder as I love to match the envelope with the card in some small way.
