Global Design Project 085 – Colour Challenge

Hi folks

I’m back again playing along with the Global Design Project #085 which is a Colour challenge! Basically one person is selected as a Guest Designer for the next Colour Challenge. How amazing would that be?

It is an exciting time at Stampin’ Up! with a new annual catalogue coming out soon. As a demonstrator I have already seen the catalogue and there have been lots of sneak peaks posted on social media. My fellow demonstrators who were lucky enough to go to OnStage last month in Amsterdam have been able to pre-order lots of new goodies – that’s just one of the perks of being a demonstrator.

It’s also a bittersweet time because we have to say goodbye to the 2016-2017 In-Colours and other products.

For my entry, I’ve used my favourite three colours from the retiring In-Colours – Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder & Mint Macaron. In fact, everything I used is retiring including the Grateful Bunch photopolymer stamp set and Blossom Bunch punch.

I felt the card needed a bit more dimension and wanted to give the butterflies a sense of movement so stamped them again on a scrap whisper white card stock so I could punch them out with the Bitty Butterfly punch – I love the way they look.

I’m so happy with the way the card turned out. It’s hard to show on the photo’s but as well as adding a bit of bling I’ve used my Wink of Stella brush to add a bit of shimmer to the butterflies and flowers.
