Twist and Pop Up card using Stampin’ Up products

Hi Friends

I hope you’re having a good weekend. Tomorrow is a Bank Holiday in the UK so a lot of us have an extra day off, which is always lovely – I hope to spend some of it crafting.

I can now share the details of the card I made for a dear friend as she is celebrating her birthday today – I hope she likes it!

It’s called a Twist and Pop Up card and there are lots of templates and examples on Pinterest and YouTube. I’m not sure who came up with the design originally but they are a real wow card – I love them!!

The card base is 10.5 cm x 28 cm scored at 14 cm (Tempting Turquoise)

On the front the matting layer is 10 cm x 13.5 cm (Basic Black)

Next matting layer is 9.5 cm x 13 cm (Irresistably Floral Designer Series Specialty Paper #141644).

The pop up section is 10 cm x 28 cm (Tempting Turquoise) scored at 7 cm, 14 cm and 21 cm

Matting layers are 6.5 cm x 9.5 cm (Basic Black)

Next layers are 6 cm x 9 cm (Irresistibly Floral DSP x 2 &Whisper White x 2)

Inside base matting layers are 10 cm x 9.5 cm (Basic Black x 2)

Next matting layers are 9.5 cm x 9 cm (Whisper White x 2)

The DSP is coloured with Tempting Turquoise classic ink and the inside stamping is Cucumber Crush and Basic Black ink.

The four panel pop up section is decorated with die cuts from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies (#142749). Images from Kinda Eclectic Clear-Mount (#135350) and So in Love Clear-Mount (#143216) stamp sets are used on the inside panels and the sentiments are from Balloon Adventures Photopolymer (#142823) and Suite Sentiments (#140712) stamp sets.

The belly band is a 2 cm strip of Tempting Turquoise embellished with Layering Circle Framelits Dies (#141705) in Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black and Whisper White stamped with a sentiment from the Window Shopping Clear-Mount Stamp set (#143265) and one of the Brights Enamal Shapes (#141680).

Wow when it’s all written down I can see how many different sets I’ve used!! Anyway, here’s a very quick video which shows how the card opens. If you’d like to see a video of how I made it leave a comment below and I’ll see if I can do one.

Some of the sets I’ve use are retiring at the end of May so if you like what you see act quick while stocks last because when they’re gone, they’re gone.
