Beautiful You stamp set

Happy Saturday!

Wow what a week! I’m afraid I didn’t have time on Wednesday to record a Lynn’s Lesson! Next week is going to be another hectic one so I’m not sure I’ll be able to do one but I’ll try.

Here’s today’s make – another quick and easy card, this time using the Beautiful You stamp set from the Spring / Summer Occasions Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!

The base is thick Whisper White card stock with Peek-a-boo peach designer series paper (DSP) and card stock. I’ve stamped the image in Basic Grey classic ink on whisper white and again on the DSP, which is double sided, then cut out the dress and hat and simply glued it over the original image (a technique called paper piecing).

The sentiment is coloured using Stampin’ Write Markers in Peek-a-boo peach and Basic Grey. I think it makes the word “birthday” pop? This is punched out with the Decorative Label punch and layered Peek-a-boo peach. A bit of white bakers twine is tied at the top and three white enamel dots finish of the card.

I’ve deliberately not used a lot of dimension so it can be posted easily. I truly love this stamp set and have had such fun creating projects with it.

Anyway, you guessed it I made another video, which shows how I made it.

As always thanks for stopping by. If you’d like to browse through my Stampin’ Up! online store, please click the link below:-
